About ☝

I spent a large portion of my adult life in the humanities, reading lots of books and writing lots of papers. I like those things, so it was mostly good and rewarding. But in 2017, I discovered that I really like writing code and building apps. And I haven't looked back since.

I am a remote member of a North Carolina based software team, where I work across the full stack, helping to build and maintain two of the team's core applications. Apart from my day job, I also work diligently on Yada Yada Yada™: an app for creators and consumers all about structured lists and guides. I am the main front end engineer on this project.

I reside in California with my partner, Kat, who is awesome. She's a midwife, so catching babies is her jam. We recently welcomed our first kiddo into our lives. Leo brings us all sorts of joy. His tummy time game is 🔥. My favorite thing to do is play basketball. I do bust out in spontaneous singing from time to time, even though I am terrible at recalling the actual lyrics of a song. And I was once hospitalized for a sunburn.
